The Greater Cincinnati area features five high school football squads worthy of Top 10 mention in the Ohio Associated Press polls Division I-VII.

However, most notable this week is last week's No. 1, St. Xavier, dropping to No. 2 behind Cleveland St. Ignatius.  The Bombers are still undefeated with a 31-7 win over Indianapolis Cathedral,  while St. Ignatius downed Detroit Catholic Central 38-7.  Based on that, St. Xavier fell seven votes shy of the top spot.

St. Xavier will meet St. Ignatius Saturday, Oct. 21 in Cleveland to sort it all out.

Elder fell from the Division I rankings with a 40-7 loss to Lakewood St. Edward. The Panthers finished 11th in the voting, with Moeller finishing 12th.

In Division II, La Salle remains in command after beating Scott County, Kentucky 28-14.  Anderson stays in third after their 42-28 triumph over Kings and Winton Woods stays fourth shutting out Royal Imperial Collegiate out of Ontario, Canada.

Wyoming dropped from No. 8 to No. 9 in Division IV, despite winning handily over Taylor 69-0.  Further north, Clinton-Massie stays at No. 6.
